Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD) annually reviews the performance of each jurisdiction covered by 24 CFR Part 91. Each jurisdiction covered by this part has an approved 5-year Consolidated Plan, Annual Action Plan, Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), and is a recipient of funds made available under one or several programs administered by HUD.
The City of Watsonville has an approved Consolidated Plan and is a recipient of funds made available under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. In conducting a performance review for a jurisdiction, HUD primarily relies on information obtained from the jurisdiction's Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER).
Each jurisdiction that has an approved Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan must submit a CAPER to HUD.

2022 DRAFT ACTION PLAN- FY 2022-2023
(July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023)
The 2022 Action Plan proposes activities that will provide low- and moderate-income residents with low-interest housing rehabilitation loans, expand youth recreation opportunities, improve City streets, provide job training, and enhance economic development efforts. The 2022 draft Action Plan for FY 2022-2023 is available for your review.

El Plan de acción de 2022 propone actividades que proveerán a residentes de bajos- y moderados-ingresos, con préstamos de rehabilitación de viviendas de bajo interés, ampliarán las oportunidades de recreación juvenil, mejoraran las calles de la ciudad, proporcionarán capacitación laboral y mejoraran los esfuerzos de desarrollo económico.
