Acting Fire Chief Corey Schaefer is proud to welcome Firefighters Aiden Palmquist, Rodrigo Jimenez, and Matthew Seligmann to the team.
All three are from the Central Coast and bring with them a deep connection to our region. Over the next 12 months, they’ll be serving as probationary firefighters, a critical time where their skills, knowledge, and performance will be evaluated every three months. The probationary year is not just about learning, it’s about proving they’re ready to uphold the values of our department: service, dedication, and commitment to protecting our community.
