Today we honor the life and legacy of civil rights leader and labor movement activist César Chávez.
Chávez is best known for his efforts to gain better working conditions for the thousands of workers who labored on farms for low wages and under severe conditions.
He changed the future for so many, including some of our officers and their families who worked in the fields.
We thank him and the thousands of Campesinos helping feed America today.

Chávez es mejor conocido por sus esfuerzos por lograr mejores condiciones laborales para los miles de campesinos que eran explotados y expuestos a condiciones severas.
Él cambió el futuro de muchos, incluyendo algunos de nuestros oficiales y sus familias que trabajaban en los campos.
Le damos las gracias a Chávez y a los miles de trabajadores agrícolas que ayudan a alimentar a Estados Unidos.
