We’re living in stressful times and it’s absolutely normal for many of us to feel anxious, sad, or even overwhelmed.
The good news is there is help. Our Crisis Assessment Response and Engagement (CARE) Team continues to provide resources and treatment to individuals and families affected by mental illness.
The team was established in 2016 and consists of two full-time Watsonville police officers and one Santa Cruz County mental health clinician. This past year, they were able to help more than 300 individuals in our community—and their work doesn’t end there.
