Waste Hero Award 22 by Tami Stolzenthaler

Students, cafeteria staff, custodians, and teachers are our everyday heroes in reducing school waste.

The School Waste Reduction Hero Awards recognize local schools that recycle food scraps in the green organics collection containers, recover food for families, and reduce plastic and litter, helping reduce waste and also greenhouse gas emissions which cause climate change.

Many congratulations to the award winners: the PVUSD Superintendent’s Green Team, Sincere Ingegneri, Mr. Prusinowski, the PVHS Green Grizzlies, Yesenia Jimenez, Edna Estrellon, Burner Yew, Ashley Yoro, Ana Rubaclava, Jeff Cortoez, Team Radcliff, Steffen Lovell, Team Rolling Hills, Santa Sanchez, Olivia Yokas, Roberta Tapiz, and Freddy Villafuerte!
