With the Fourth of July celebrations quickly approaching, our department is already preparing enforcement operations against illegal fireworks.
Additional officers will be out on patrol starting this Friday and into early next week. As in past years, we will have zero tolerance for illegal fireworks. Anyone caught igniting or possessing illegal fireworks will be fined $1,000 per violation. Tenants or property owners will also be cited if there is evidence that illegal fireworks were at the property, were sold at the property, or were set off at the property.
Only Safe & Sane fireworks bearing the State Fire Marshal seal will be allowed in the City of Watsonville. Illegal fireworks can be reported through our Watsonville Police mobile app or by calling 831-471-1151. Please be patient, as our dispatchers receive hundreds of firework-related calls.

En la Ciudad de Watsonville, sólo se permitirán fuegos artificiales de la marca “Safe & Sane” que lleven el sello del Jefe de Bomberos del Estado.
