Avoid being a victim of a phone scam

Don’t fall victim to scammers!

Recently, we’ve received reports about phone scammers calling community members and pretending to be a Watsonville Police Officer. The caller explains that the person has a warrant for their arrest, and they must pay to avoid being taken into custody.

Our Officers will never request any sort of payment over the phone. If you get such a call, please do not give them any information and hang up.
