[ARCHIVED] 2018 Rail Plan - Connecting California

Review the 2018 Rail Plan available between October 11th and December 11th. The California State Rail Plan presents the vision and strategies for building California's rail network for the future.

Watsonville residents are encouraged to review the State of California's draft 2018 Rail Plan.  The State Plan is not a part of the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commissions current Unified Corridor Investment Study.

The 2018 California State Rail Plan (Rail Plan) presents the vision and strategies for building California's rail network for the future. The Rail Plan will be available for review for 60 days between October 11th and December 11th. Please visit to view the Rail Plan and to provide comments.

2018 Rail Plan Interactive Map & Executive Summary

  • Interactive Map: An exciting new online interactive mapping tool has been launched to help people engage and explore the California rail network. The web-based tool provides an interface with the existing rail network and the 2040 vision, allowing users to explore what California's rail network looks like today and the vision for what it will look like in the future.
