Walk Smart training was recently provided to ten classes of second and third graders at Starlight Elementary School in Watsonville. The training was done by Ecology Action of Santa Cruz County and included a classroom component and an on-pavement session.
Students navigated real intersections on a “Walk Around the Block” equipped with safety vests and adult supervision and instruction. The training was provided by Ecology Action of Santa Cruz County using funding from Measure D and the City of Watsonville.
