[ARCHIVED] CALTRANS PROJECT - Paving on Hwy. 129 in Watsonville for Two Weeks Beginning Monday, July 23rd

A paving maintenance operation will take place on a 2-mile section of eastbound and westbound Hwy. 129 at various locations between the Hwy. 129/1 intersection and Blackburn Street in Watsonville for the next two weeks, starting Monday, July 23, Caltrans officials have announced. Details are as follows:


Monday, July 23 through Friday, July 27

Main St. to Blackburn St.

Alternating lane closures with possible one-way traffic control with flagging.


Monday, July 30 through Friday, August 3

Walker St. to the Hwy. 129/1 intersection.

Alternating lane closures.


Roadwork hours for each week are from 7 am to 3 pm each day and will consist of either alternating lane closures or under one-way traffic control with flagging. Up to 20-minute delays are anticipated.


IMPORTANT NOTE: Some residential driveways may be impacted during the work schedule and motorists are encouraged to keep area clear. Signs will be posted alerting residents which driveways will be impacted. 


Electronic message boards will be posted alerting motorists of this work and the CHP will assist with traffic control. The Santa Cruz South maintenance crew is in charge of this roadwork which is expected to be complete on Friday, Aug. 3.

 

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over or slow down when driving through Caltrans work zones.
