It’s Showtime at the Library--Call to Artists
Friday, February 1st, 2019 - Monday, April 1st, 2019
The Watsonville Public Library is inviting local artists to submit artwork to reflect our 2019 Summer Reading Program theme, “It’s Showtime at the Library”. The selected artwork will be featured on exclusive Watsonville Public Library book bags, which will be awarded to participants who complete the 2019 Summer Reading Program, and for other promotional materials such as posters and library website designs. The selected artist will receive $250, and the library will retain usage rights to the design.
Participation is open to artists over the age of 16 who live, work, or attend school in the Greater Pajaro Valley, including Watsonville and Freedom. All artwork must be original and the work of the registered applicant.
Artists may submit up to three pieces of artwork for consideration with their application. The application deadline is Monday, April 1st, 2019.
Artwork will be reviewed in early April and selected by a panel of librarians and community members.
Please contact Watonka Addison, 831-768-3445 or watonka.addison@cityofwatsonville.org for an application.
