Library Closure: President's Day

Watsonville Public Libraries will be closed in observance of President’s Day on Monday, February 16. All library materials can be returned in the book drops during the closure.

Sensory Play

Looking for interactive and engaging activities for your child? Join us for Sensory Play, each month will feature a different theme and new ways to stimulate your growing child’s senses. Activities may include: water play, kinetic sand, touch-and-see tables, slime, finger painting, instrument exploration, aromatic experiences, and new tastes. Audience: Children aged 1-5 and their caregivers.

✨ Free Sewing Classes ✨ Ready to unleash your creativity and learn a new skill? Whether you're a total beginner or an experienced sewer, our free sewing classes are for you. Join us for a fun, hands-on experience where you can: 🧵 Learn sewing basics – no experience required. 🧵 Build your skills – Pick the project that matches your skill level. 🧵 Meet new friends – all ages and backgrounds encouraged. 🧵 Bring your own projects – get help with what you want to create. This program will take place on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 4:00-5:30pm at the Freedom Library, Creative Cafe. All ages & skill levels welcome. These classes will be facilitated in English.

Teen Taste-Off

Teens are invited to channel their inner food critic at our monthly Teen Taste-Off Program ~ each month will feature a new snack in a variety of flavors that they will get to taste and vote on their favorite. Audience: Teens

Books N Bites

Interested in learning about nutrition and wellness? Community Health Trust of Pajaro Valley will be hosting nutrition and physical well-being classes for our community. Nutrition experts will share their knowledge about the importance of balanced eating, the role of nutrients in maintaining health, and practical tips for making nutritious choices in your daily diet. Topics that will be covered include (but are not limited to): fiber, low sodium, balanced meals, etc. The intended audience for this program is patrons of all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste and enjoy delicious food.

Role-playing Games at the Library

Watsonville Public Library and the Santa Cruz County Roleplaying Games Group invite anyone in the community interested in tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) to come and learn how to play multiple role-playing games. Several games will be presented at the same session at different tables. The focus for this session is for people to experience the games without the commitment of lots of sessions or money spent. Everything needed to play will be provided, and all skill levels are welcome! Audience: Adults.
