City Commissions

The City of Watsonville City Council has various commissions as outlined in the Watsonville City Charter. These commissions are formed to serve as advisory bodies to the City Council and City Manager on various issues. 

Members of these commissions should represent the community at large. To be eligible for any commission a person needs to be a resident of the City.

If you are interested in serving on a City board or commission, complete the Application online or return it to the City Clerk's Office. 275 Main Street, Suite 400, (Fourth Floor), Watsonville, CA 95076 or email it here.

Upon receipt, your application for appointment will be routed to the Council Member representing the District in which the vacancy exists. If a Council Member is interested in nominating you for appointment, the Council Member will contact you and discuss the appointment. You must be a resident in the City of Watsonville to qualify for an appointment. Please specify the commission(s) to which you are seeking an appointment and provide the requested information.

Regional Boards/Committees                                                    Application

The City also collaborates with local jurisdictions on a variety of Boards. If you are interested in participating in any of the following, complete the application below the list of Regional Boards.

  • Area Agency on Aging of Santa Cruz & San Benito Counties
  • Latino Affairs Commission
  • Pajaro Valley Water Management Agency (Must reside in the jurisdiction and derive most income from agricultural products)
  • Santa Cruz County Housing Authority
  • Santa Cruz County Metropolitan Transit District (Must Reside in Watsonville)
  • Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (Must Reside in Watsonville)
  • Zone 7 Flood Control and Water Conservation District Board (Must reside within Zone 7 Boundaries)
