Summer Youth Academy

The Watsonville Police Youth Academy is a weeklong summer program that allows local teens to gain insights into the work of law enforcement, the various roles and responsibilities of police officers, and a deeper understanding of community policing while exploring diverse career options.

The program was established in 2022. It strives to create a safe environment for youth to engage in prosocial, educational, and recreational activities during the summer, promote teamwork and positive self-esteem, and provide an opportunity to build positive relationships.

The Watsonville Police Youth Academy is open to teens between 14 and 18 years old who reside or attend school in the 95076 zip code.

Please note: The Watsonville Police Youth Academy will not be held this summer, 2025.

We appreciate the community’s continued interest and support.
