[ARCHIVED] Disaster Recovery Center is Open

Disaster recovery center is open

A Disaster Recovery Center opened January 21, 2023 to help residents impacted by the storms and flooding in our region.

Residents can access information and resources needed for recovery, regardless of the type of damage suffered, location of impacted residence or business, insurance status, immigration status, or any other factor. The center, located at 1301 Main St., will be open daily from 9AM-7PM.

The Ramsay Park Disaster Recovery Center includes staff from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the California Office of Emergency Service (CalOES), the County of Santa Cruz, the City of Watsonville, and various state and local agencies that include disaster recovery as part of their mission.

The U.S. Small Business Administration and the California Small Business Development Center have also opened a Business Recovery Center in Capitola to provide a wide range of services to businesses impacted by severe winter storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides. The center is located at the Capitola City Hall Community Room (420 Capitola Avenue) from 8AM-5PM, Monday through Friday.

Un Centro de Recuperación por Desastre abrió el 21 de enero de 2023 para ayudar a los residentes afectados por las tormentas y las inundaciones en nuestra región.

Residentes pueden acceder a información y recursos necesarios para la recuperación, sin importar que tipo de daño haya sufrido, la ubicación de la residencia o de que tipo de negocio haya sido afectado, o el estado del seguro, su estado migratorio o cualquier otro factor. El centro, ubicado en 1301 Main St., estará abierto todos los días de 9AM- 7PM.

El Centro de Recuperación de Desastres en el parque Ramsay incluye personal perteneciente a la Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias (FEMA), la Oficina de Servicio de Emergencia de California (CalOES), del Condado de Santa Cruz, de la Ciudad de Watsonville, y varias agencias estatales, locales y comunitarias que incluyen la recuperación de desastres como parte de su misión.

La Administración Federal de Pequeños Negocios (SBA por sus siglas en inglés) y el Centro de Desarrollo de Pequeñas Empresas en el estado de California también abrieron un Centro de Recuperación de Negocios en Capitola para ofrecer una amplia variedad de servicios a los negocios afectados por las tormentas severas invernales, inundaciones, deslizamientos de tierra y lodo. El centro está ubicado en el Salón Comunitario del Ayuntamiento de Capitola (420 Capitola Avenue) de 8AM-5PM de lunes a viernes.
