[ARCHIVED] Halloween Safety Tips 2023

Halloween Tips Web Template

Halloween is here, and we’re reminding parents to be prepared and keep a close eye on their kids as they go trick-or-treating.

Drivers can also expect to see more people out walking than usual. Please be patient and slow down.

Here are other Halloween safety tips to keep in mind tonight:

๐ŸŽƒ Carry a flashlight so drivers can see you.

๐ŸŽƒ Have children wear costumes that are easy to walk in and see out of. Make sure costumes and masks fit well and don’t block a child’s view or cause them to trip and fall.

๐ŸŽƒ Stick to familiar, well-lit routes.

๐ŸŽƒ Only cross the street at crosswalks or corners where it is safe. Always look left, right, then left again before crossing.

๐ŸŽƒ Always look up. Avoid using the phone while walking.

๐ŸŽƒ Look out for trick-or-treaters who may cross the street mid-block, or from behind parked cars.
