An emergency shelter for the unhoused population in Watsonville will open its doors at 1PM Saturday, February 3, as we prepare for another strong storm.
The Veterans Memorial Hall at 215 E. Beach Street will remain open until the afternoon of Monday, February 5.
The Free Guide will operate the site. Capacity is limited. Beds will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference for people with disabilities and those experiencing significant health/safety risks sleeping outdoors.
Guests will be provided with cots, blankets, and ready-to-eat meals. Pets are allowed if leashed and can be kept under voice control. Belongings must fit in small storage areas near bed assignments.

Un refugio de emergencia para personas sin hogar en Watsonville abrirá sus puertas a la 1PM el sábado, 3 de febrero, mientras nos preparamos para otra fuerte tormenta.
El Veterans Memorial Hall en 215 E. Beach Street permanecerá abierto hasta la tarde del lunes, 5 de febrero.
The Free Guide operará el sitio. La capacidad es limitada. Las camas se ofrecerán por orden de llegada, con preferencia para las personas con discapacidades y aquellas que experimenten riesgos importantes de salud y seguridad al dormir al aire libre.
Las personas recibirán catres, cobijas y comidas preparadas. Se permiten mascotas si están atadas y pueden mantenerse bajo control por voz. Las pertenencias deben caber en pequeñas áreas de almacenamiento cerca de las camas asignadas.
