[ARCHIVED] Flood Watch issued for Santa Cruz County

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Santa Cruz County as two storm systems are expected to impact our region this weekend into early next week. 

The Flood Watch, which goes into effect Sunday (02/18)  through Wednesday (02/21) at 10 AM, means flooding is possible. The first round of rain is expected on Saturday, followed by a stronger storm system from Sunday through Wednesday.  

 Our two self-serve sandbag stations for Watsonville residents remain open 24/7 at: 

· Joyce McKenzie Park, 500 Joyce Drive 
· Fire Station 1, 115 2nd Street

El Servicio Meteorológico Nacional ha emitido una Vigilancia de Inundaciones para el Condado de Santa Cruz, ya que se espera que dos sistemas de tormentas impacten nuestra región desde este fin de semana hasta principios de la próxima semana.                                                                                             

La Vigilancia de Inundaciones, que entra en vigor de domingo (02/18) a miércoles (02/21) a las 10 AM, significa que es posible que se produzcan inundaciones. Se espera la primera ronda de lluvias el sábado, seguida de un sistema de tormentas más fuerte del domingo al miércoles.

Nuestras dos estaciones de autoservicio con sacos de arena para los residentes de Watsonville permanecen abiertas las 24 horas, los 7 días de la semana en:

· Parque Joyce McKenzie, 500 Joyce Drive
· Estación de Bomberos 1, 115 2nd Street
