The City of Watsonville is excited to announce the return of the annual Watsonville Strawberry Festival Art Contest, inviting artists to showcase their creativity in celebration of the region’s rich agricultural heritage. The selected artwork will be prominently featured in promotions for the 2025 Watsonville Strawberry Festival, which will take place in Downtown Watsonville on August 2-3, 2025.
Established in 1994, the Watsonville Strawberry Festival honors the city’s deep roots in strawberry farming and draws over 50,000 visitors each year. The art contest provides a unique platform for local and regional artists to highlight the significance of strawberries in the community and beyond. The winning artist will receive a $1,000 prize, and their artwork will be showcased on festival posters, t-shirts, marketing materials, and other promotional platforms.
Art Submission Requirements
• Submissions must be received no later than 5 PM on April 11, 2025.
• Entries must be original—no copyrighted materials accepted.
• Artwork must be submitted in high-resolution JPEG, PNG, or PDF format, with no text included in the design.
