The Watsonville Fire Department, in partnership with the Watsonville Firefighters Association, will host its first-ever Fill the Fire Truck Toy Drive on Saturday, December 13, from 10AM to 1PM at Fire Station 1, 115 2nd Street.
Residents are encouraged to donate new toys for children and gift cards for teens (ages 13–18) to support the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program, which is assisting more than 350 local families this year, with additional families on a waitlist.
Guests who bring a donation can enjoy hot chocolate, cider, and snacks, take photos with Watsonville Firefighters, and catch a visit from Santa.
“The need in our community is real, and our Fill the Fire Truck Toy Drive will bring people together to support local families during the holiday season,” said Acting Fire Chief Corey Schaefer. “This event is about spreading joy and ensuring every child and teen in Watsonville can experience the magic of the holidays. We hope everyone will join us in making a difference.”
Those unable to attend the event may drop off donations at the Fire Administration Office, 372 Airport Boulevard, or Fire Station 2 right next door.
