National Flood Insurance Program

The City of Watsonville participates in the National Flood Insurance Program, which is sponsored by FEMA. Flood insurance is recommended for residents who live in the SFHA because most homeowners insurance does not cover flood damage. Flood insurance is available from local insurance brokers. FEMA contains additional information about the flood insurance program and emergency preparedness from floods and other natural disasters.
